Correcting a Misspelled Customer Name After a LightReach Application Has Been Created

What to do if a customer's name was corrected in Enerflo after a LightReach application already exists, since the fix doesn't sync automatically.

Written by Emilie

If a customer's name was entered incorrectly and later corrected in Enerflo after a LightReach application already exists for the deal, that correction will not automatically sync over to LightReach. Refreshing or re-syncing the deal from Enerflo will not fix it, and the contract will keep generating with the old, incorrect name.

Why this happens

Once a LightReach application is created, LightReach treats the applicant's name as locked to what was submitted at that time. Enerflo does not push later name edits into an existing LightReach application, so the two systems fall out of sync.

How to fix it

  1. Confirm the customer's name has been corrected in Enerflo under the deal's customer details.

  2. Log in to the LightReach (Palmetto) portal directly and locate the customer's application.

  3. Edit the name directly within the LightReach portal so it matches the corrected spelling.

  4. Regenerate the contract from LightReach so the corrected name appears on the signable document.

Note: Enerflo cannot push a post-application name correction into LightReach on your behalf. This correction must be made directly in the LightReach portal — updating the name in Enerflo alone is not sufficient.

Troubleshooting

If the contract still generates with the incorrect name after updating it in the LightReach portal, regenerate the contract again from LightReach rather than from Enerflo.
