Financing Status in Enerflo Doesn't Match the Lender's Portal

What to do when a customer's financing application status in Enerflo doesn't match what the lender's own portal shows.

Written by Emilie

If a customer's financing application shows a different status in the lender's portal (approved, declined, needs a cosigner, etc.) than what Enerflo is displaying, this is almost always a sync issue rather than a bug. Use the steps below before contacting Enerflo Support.

Step 1: Try Sync Status

Most integrated lenders (GoodLeap, Thrive, LightReach, and others) support a manual sync action:

  1. Open the deal and go to the Financing stage.

  2. Click the (ellipsis) menu.

  3. Select View Application History to open the Application Monitor.

  4. Click Sync Status.

This pulls the latest status directly from the lender and updates the financing stage without needing to unfinalize or resubmit anything.

Note: Sync Status requires the Sync Application Status permission (an admin-level permission — see Roles and Permissions). If you don't see the option, ask your company admin to grant it, or contact Enerflo Support to sync the deal for you.

Step 2: Check whether the update happened in Enerflo or in the lender's portal

Sync Status can only pull in changes the lender's system is aware of through the connected application. If a rep or customer resubmitted the application, added a cosigner, or started a brand-new application directly in the lender's own portal instead of through Enerflo, that update generally will not sync back — even after clicking Sync Status. This is confirmed behavior for all integrated lenders (an application submitted directly in the lender's portal can never be linked back to an Enerflo deal).

The fix: any change that needs to show up in Enerflo — cosigner additions, resubmissions, edits — should be made through Enerflo's Financing stage, not the lender's own portal, whenever possible.

Step 3: If the deal needs to move forward before the sync resolves

If a deal-stage gate (for example, requiring the financing box to be checked before sending the Home Improvement Contract) is blocking progress and the status genuinely hasn't synced yet, an installer admin can temporarily disable that stage requirement so the rep can proceed. Enerflo Support can assist, but this requires authorization from an installer admin.

Related workarounds by lender

  • GoodLeap: If an approval isn't reflecting after a design or pricing change, try unfinalizing and refinalizing the proposal in addition to Sync Status.

  • LightReach: See LightReach: TPO Products, Pricing & Deal Requirements for the Notice to Proceed stage's built-in Sync Status flow.

  • EnFin: See EnFin TPO: Products, Deal Flow & Application Management for Application Monitor details. Two additional notes specific to EnFin:

    • Deals showing Pending Title Review, Pending Identity Verification, or Pending Title and Identity Review are waiting on EnFin's internal review — the status will update automatically once that review clears. No action is needed on the Enerflo side.

    • There is a known EnFin issue affecting applications with a co-applicant, where the application can get stuck or show a mismatched status. If this happens, have the rep remove the co-applicant from the application, reapply, and then add the co-applicant back in during the credit check step. If this doesn't resolve the issue, contact Enerflo Support with the deal ID.

Troubleshooting: If Sync Status doesn't resolve the mismatch after confirming the change was made in Enerflo (not the lender's portal), contact Enerflo Support with the deal ID.
